2020 Adventure Workshop to Focus on Customer Needs

After more than 50 years in our supply chain, the Adventure Marketing Conference is changing in 2020.

The worldwide pandemic has created a lot of havoc in the business world lately. While many companies have struggled, others have come out ahead. What’s the secret to their success? Adaptability is one word that comes to mind. Companies have to be innovative, creative, and “better” than everyone else. This has always been the case, but it seems to be more so now than ever.

Salespeople have had to think outside the box to keep their commissions flowing. CEOs have had to redistribute responsibilities to keep companies afloat. Marketing departments have had to step up and be more creative than ever before.

Along those lines, NAED is eager to offer an upcoming marketing workshop that will be a two-step process to help your sales and marketing now and into the future.

The 2020 NAED Adventure Workshop will feature world-renowned guest speaker David Arvin, CSP with the topic, “Your Customers Are Changing. Are You?” Arvin points out the opportunities that abound in today’s upside-down world—how to “out-serve” your competitors and win with customers. Following his presentation, the NAED Adventure Workshop will hold a deep-dive breakout session entitled, “A Day In The Life Of Your Customer – Catering To Your Ideal Customers”. It will allow attendees to learn what their customers like, dislike, fear, and need from you.

Toni Sacrison, past NAED Adventure Committee chair and Marketing Specialist at Viking Electric believes Arvin is the perfect fit for this event.

“I can say with certainty that David Arvin is fantastic. He understands our industry and he definitely does his homework. I was on the committee when we hired him to speak last time, and his approach is both relevant and inspiring. I can’t wait to see what he has to say about the rapidly changing marketplace amid COVID-19. Anyone who’s seen him present will tell you the same thing. I am super excited to hear him speak again. I know I am not alone in feeling a bit weary of the virtual environment and feeling disconnected yet busier than ever. I have a feeling David will leave all of us energized and renewed. I’d say that’s exactly what we need right now.”

NAED’s Director of Learning and Program Content Kelly Jones says the pandemic has impacted customers, and marketing departments need to understand those changes.

“Especially during the pandemic and recovery, understanding the voice of your customer is critical for business success. You should attend this event to learn from Customer Experience and Marketing expert David Avrin, and also to connect with your marketing and sales peers across the industry. This event is a cross-functional collaboration of marketing and sales to create positive customer experiences that will drive sales.”
