Murphy said she felt humbled to receive the award.
"The electrical industry is at the heart of what makes our homes, communities, hospitals and infrastructure work," she said. "There is room for more women at the top, and it is vital to me to help make that happen. This award is a wonderful recognition and will serve as a reminder to continue building a vibrant ecosystem of support for women in the electrical industry."
Murphy joined Eaton, a power management company, in 1997 and currently leads the company’s North American sales organization for its leading electrical business, serving customers around the world and across industries.
