St. Louis…The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) has named Glenn Goedecke the 2019 Arthur Hooper Award recipient. Goedecke, who retired from Mayer, an Alabama-based wholesale distributor of electrical products and equipment, is a 32-year-veteran in the industry.
“I’m unbelievably humbled,” said Goedecke. “I’m following some of the best, finest leaders in the industry.”
Goedecke served as executive vice president of national and strategic accounts at Mayer before retiring last summer. Throughout the years, he’s made significant contributions to the electrical industry. Geodecke has been very active in NAED, attending meetings and volunteering on a variety of committees. During his stint as NAED chair, he helped shape the association’s strategic plan with a multi-step, long-range focus.
NAED’s Arthur W. Hooper Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has had an exceptional career in distribution and has positively impacted NAED as well as the industry.
Goedecke was honored during the 2019 NAED National Meeting in San Francisco on Sunday, May 4, 2019.
